Electric Polaris Ranger Tows a Fully Loaded Logging Truck Ahead of Launch

If you have not heard yet, Polaris is set to release a new version of the company’s electric Polaris Ranger UTV this year. Polaris has long led the off-road vehicle industry. Despite most of Polaris offerings being gas-powered up to this point, Polaris offers a handful of electric models such as the GEM neighborhood electric vehicle and the all-terrain Ranger EV.

The new electric Polaris Ranger will be the first of many Polaris electric vehicles produced as part of a 10-year exclusive partnership with Zero Motorcycle’s. Polaris and Zero Motorcycles are to co-develop electric off-road vehicles and electric snowmobiles. The partnership will roll out by the end of 2021.

Details of the agreement with Polaris and Zero indicate that Polaris will be handling the development, manufacture, and sales of the electric machines, while zero will be in charge of aspects related to the electric drivetrains of the machines.

We found a few videos that will give you a look at the electric Polaris Ranger prototype’s powerful towing capabilities and instantaneous torque showing you how it can handle big jobs like plowing deep snow. In the video, Polaris will show you the new electric Ranger demonstrating its towing capacity and precision control.
