WISCONSIN POTAWATOMI STATE PARK IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Wisconsin’s Potawatomi State Park trail system to the northern half is temporarily closed due to logging operations that are underway to improve the safety for visitors and the health of the ecosystem.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is removing hazardous trees impacted by breech bark disease and emerald ash borer. The reason for the removal is it will make future trail conditions safer for snowmobiling at the state park.
The southern portion of the trail system within Potawatomi State Park will still remain open. Snowmobilers will also continue to have access via southern entry points up to and including the campground.
The county’s snowmobile trail system connecting trails that link will not be closed.
