Driving from out of state, Interstate 8 will take you right to Glamis. Keep in mind that you’ll need a permit to ride at Glamis, which can be purchased online or at nearby vendors. Find a list of places to buy a Glamis permit here.

Terrain In Glamis
The terrain at Glamis is unlike anything else. The sand dunes rise up to 300 feet tall, providing a challenging landscape to navigate. The sand is constantly shifting, making each ride unique. There are also sand washes, hills, and valleys to explore. Make sure you bring a GPS or a map to make the most of your ride.

Preparing Your Machine For The Sand Dunes
Off-roading at Glamis is no joke, and you’ll need a machine that can handle the terrain. Make sure your machine is in good condition before the trip. Check your tires, brakes, and suspension. Install sand tires for better traction and bring extra fuel, oil and belts.
